Before you can edit any page on your site, you must make sure you are logged in first and have been granted permission to make changes to you site (Click here to read about how to make changes/additions to your site admins).
![]() To simply make changes to a page, click "Edit this Page." (This is what you will use most of the time). Clicking that link will take you to another page that will list what content items make up the page you're editing. There you will see a list of Active Content items and, if you've chosen to hide any content items for later use, Hidden Content Items. The Active Content items make up what you see on the page you are editing. In the example below, you can see that this is a two-column page with four active content items. The two content items with a No. 1 next to them appear in the left column, and the two content items with the No. 2 next to them appear in the right column. Also note that the order the content items are listed there are also the order they will appear on the page. To make changes to the page, click the content item you want to change, which will open up the page editing area, or WYSIWYG editor. This editor allows you to easily make changes using the formatting buttons along the top. ![]() Quick but important note on Type of Content section: Above the page editor is a "Type of content" section. Nine times out of 10 you will want to not change from HTML. It is tempting to use the Uploaded File option if you want to link to a document, but this is usually not the best way to do that. Before linking to documents, please read the Working With Documents tutorial. |
