How to add a direct link to your document library

The default navigation for a chapter or division site does not include a direct link to your document library. This means that in order to find your community's document library, you have to click on several links within the "Resources" section to get to your documents.

This tutorial will demonstrate how to add a direct link to your document library within your Resources menu.

The first thing you will need to do is find the direct URL (web address) to your document library.

You can access the Community List here (you will need to be logged in). This page will show you a list of all the various communities you have access to on the IAAP Web Community.

Locate the chapter (community) for which you would like to add a direct link to the library.

Now that you have the direct URL copied to your clipboard, we can get started with creating the navigation link.

To do this, go to any page on your site (again, you'll need to be logged in with administrative privileges).

If you'd like to the link to appear in a different location within that list, you can reorder the links however you'd like. See the Managing/editing navigation links tutorial to learn more.
